Halifax payment processing specialist B4Checkin's TransForm technology will be incorporated into Ontario-based Maestro PMS’s property management software for hotels.
B4Checkin, which does business as b4, sells browser-based software to process credit-card payments by eliminating the need for clerks to enter credit card information manually and immediately encrypting the data.
The company says its security measures reduce the risk of both fraud and credit card chargebacks, which have grown more common as hotels transition from in-person payment processing to online bookings.
